BIU Offers Perfect Fit for "Zoo Rabbi" Natan Slifkin's Research on Biblical Animals

Rabbi Natan Slifkin has always had a passion for animals and today is known as the "Zoo Rabbi." At BIU he completed his dissertation on "Rabbinic Encounters with Zoology in the 19th Century", wrote the first volume of The Torah Encyclopedia of the Animal Kingdom, and opened the Biblical Museum of Natural History in Beit Shemesh.

"Being educated at Bar-Ilan University (BIU) has been a blessing for me in many ways," says Shahar Azani, Executive Director of the Northeast Region of StandWithUs and immediate past Consul for Media Affairs at the Consulate General of Israel in New York, but "the biggest blessing of all is that it is where I met the love of my life – my wife, Elinor.
