What can be done to reverse the exodus of Israel's brightest brains?

Commit to bringing Israeli scientists home, including new Bar-Ilan Medical School faculty members from prominent universities and renowned Institutes.
Create an Honors Scholars program for incoming students who show great promise in boosting the Promised Land's "start-up" nation status and its position as a beacon of Jewish and Zionist values.
Invest in up-and-coming Jewish Studies faculty "stars" that embrace Bar-Ilan's underlying mission to promote the synthesis of Torah and secular knowledge.
Bolster the Doctoral Fellowship of Excellence Program to further maximize the skills of Israel's potential future leaders.

Rabbi Dr. Joshua Berman, of the Zalman Shamir Bible Department, discusses how the Book of Exodus and the Passover Hagaddah use the language and imagery of the Egyptian pharaohs to make them ultimately realize they were fighting against a power far higher than themselves. Dr. Berman explains that recent archaeological findings seem to depict the might of the pharaohs by showing imagery of their "mighty hand and outstretched arm" — the imagery and wording the Jewish people used to depict how God delivered them from bondage in Egypt.

Dr. Berman reflects Bar-Ilan's Jewish faculty "stars" that embrace the University's mission to promote the synthesis of Torah and secular knowledge.

Before reading the Exodus story this Passover, please consider making a gift that will strengthen the Jewish homeland for generations to come by promoting the continued ingathering and retention of Israel's brightest brains.

We wish you and your family a happy and healthy Passover.
