Join us for a special archaeology adventure of ancient Jerusalem with world renowned archaeologist Aren Maier of Bar-Ilan University. As we ready to celebrate Yom Yerushalayim, Prof. Maier will show us some of the most remarkable and recent archaeological finds from the holy city.
Prof. Aren Maier
Prof. Aren M. Maeir is the head of the Institute of Archaeology at the Martin (Szusz) Department of Land of Israel Studies and Archaeology at Bar-Ilan University. He has directed the Tell es-Safi/Gath Archaeological Project for the last 25 years, co-directs the Minerva Center for the Relations between Israel and Aram in Biblical Times (RIAB; aramisrael.org), is director of the Ingeborg Rennert Center for Jerusalem Studies at Bar-Ilan University, and co-edits the Israel Exploration Journal.
Aren has written and edited some 20 books and close to 300 articles.
