WOMENNOW! The world abandoned Israeli women. We never will.

On Oct. 7, Simchat Torah, Israeli women were murdered, sexually brutalized, abducted from their homes, and tortured by Hamas terrorists.

Since Oct. 8, Prof. Ruth Halperin-Kaddari and the Rackman Center have been seeking justice for these victims, as well as for the tens of thousands of Israeli women whose security and rights are at risk, domestically or otherwise.

About the Rackman Center

In 2001, The Rackman Center was founded in Bar-Ilan University’s Faculty of Law to promote women’s rights within Judaism and in Israel. Its rare combination of academic expertise and cause lawyering means that The Rackman Center serves as a junction between research and activism. Our lawyers translate academic research, knowledge of Jewish law, and legal training into action, bringing about legal and social change to benefit women, children, families, and Israeli society at large.

This knowledge has also turned the Center into a dominant voice in the Knesset and policy forums for matters on women’s rights in family law. For over 20 years, we have had immeasurable impact through legal precedents, laws passed, and the women we’ve represented.
