Chinese bike sharing company Ofo has now entered Israel and the company has launched its short trip Bike sharing service at Bar-Ilan University in the Tel Aviv District, Ramat Gan.
Ofo’s service launch at Bar-Ilan University received great support from the student union and welcome from the teachers and students. Ofo placed 100 bikes at 19 parking sites on the campus, making Bar Ilan the first university in Israel to use this service. Before the end of 2017, the company plans to place 1,000 shared bikes in Israel. Ofo only needs to enter three more countries to achieve its goal of reaching 20 countries by the end of 2017.
Dai Wei, founder and chief executive officer of Ofo, said that Israel is an important stop for their international strategy and they are glad to enter this marketplace. Ofo will be committed to bringing their green and convenient short trip solution to every city which needs it. They hope to spread their green environmental protection concept and encourage people to use low-carbon travel methods, so as to improve the global ecosystem.
With this move, Ofo further enhanced its overseas strategy and expanded its international scale.
